New due date?? could be...

So we went to our ultrasound appointment today @ 2:30 at VGH. Everything with the baby is healthy and strong except for one little thing. The little stinker decided that it was going to do the old flip over trick and go all breech on us. So it's butt is down south and with only 2 weeks to go until the due date the doctor says it's most likely not going to flip back around. Long story short, we can pray that the little brat turn around or else C-section. Elizabeth wanted to avoid it at all costs but since she can't birth a baby bumb first we will probably be having the baby next Friday or soon there after. They do the C-section at 39 weeks and she is 38 right now. Maybe send out a few prayers our way for what ever happens in the next week. Thanks. We did get another picture of the baby at the ultrasound. The kid looks like it has huge lips and a wide nose. It is 6 lbs and has long legs. Soon we will see once and for all.

We will certainly be praying for this little one, and for you too Elizabeth and Brian, that you will have this baby safely and all will go well. The Lord knows you are all in His Hands.

Don't let the Dr. push you around. If you want to wait and see if s/he will flip in the next two to three weeks then do that. You and the babe will be just fine. They can always do a c-section once labor starts. It just might run into the Dr.'s Tee time. In the end this is your experience. Think about what you both want and be firm. Dr.'s always want the "controlled" experience. Really, can you blame them.

What ever you choose to do, you guys are in for one wild ride! :)

Our thoughts are with you.
Melissa.

PS. No one in their 38th week wants to hear it but, remember the due date is plus or minus two weeks
